What is a Fan Faire?
The SOE Fan Faire is a Sony Online Entertainment-sponsored event designed to allow players the chance not only to meet one another, but also many of the more prominent SOE personalities. It's a great opportunity to meet the real people behind the online avatars and the game itself. Though attendees will have plenty of opportunity to mingle freely with one another and make new friends, they'll also have the chance to participate in a number of panel discussions and game-themed live events.

When and where are the Fan Faire events held?
Fan Faire events are held in various regions throughout the U.S. and occur once a year. We try to choose locations that will accommodate as many players as possible. Every so often, we may solicit your input on future locations of Fan Faire via polls on this site.

What does this cost?
The Fan Faire All-Access Pass costs $89.00 plus any applicable taxes. Please note that this cost DOES NOT include airfare/hotel accommodations, ground transportation or certain meals.

In addition to the All-Access Pass, we will be selling individual day passes, available Friday and Saturday, costing $39 per day plus any applicable taxes. Each day pass will be marked with the day/date for which it was purchased, and will expire at 6 p.m. on that day.

What do I get for my registration fee?
With the All-Access Pass, you'll get a Fan Faire T-shirt, a special Fan Faire in-game item for your primary game, and have unlimited access to a whole weekend of fun! You are eligible for selection to participate in the costume contest, forums, gaming roundtables, a welcome reception, grand banquet, game-specific live events and a special, invitation-only offsite party. Please note that you must be 21 or older, with valid identification, to attend certain evening events (such as the invitation-only offsite party). Day Pass - your day pass will entitle you to one (1) Fan Faire T-shirt, access to all forums and roundtables scheduled for that day, plus eligibility for selection to participate in any live events taking place that day. Your pass will expire at 6PM and is not good for access to any of the evening events.

I did not receive a confirmation email after I registered. Am I really registered?
If you did not receive a confirmation email after you registered, your registration likely did not go through. Please contact the FanFaire Team (fanfaire@soe.sony.com) to check on your registration status. Also, be sure that you have an active, current email address.

I can't get there in time for the early registration. Can I still get my Player Passport and get in when I arrive?
Yes! Just check in at the registration desk when you get there (Registration hours will be announced on this website. Check back regularly for updates). Please be sure to bring valid identification.

Can children attend this event?
Children can attend this event, but an adult must accompany all minors. The cost for children is the same as for adults. Please note that certain events are age-restricted. Please visit the home page for more information on which events apply.

My spouse and I both play SOE games. Should we list one of us as a guest?
No. A guest is someone that does not play or have a subscription to any of the SOE online games. Each player should register individually to get his or her personalized Player Passport.

My spouse does not play SOE games but wants to come with me. What is the fee for someone that does not play?
The fee is the same for players and non-players. Just list them as your guest on the registration form.

What about my hotel accommodations?
You are responsible for making your own hotel and travel arrangements. We have arranged special accommodations with the hotel hosting our event, and you may wish to take advantage of these. The special rate code for the Las Vegas Hilton is SSOE8, and the special SOE rate is currently $139 per night plus applicable tax, while supplies last. What if I need to cancel my registration? Can I get a refund?
To cancel your registration, please email your request to fanfaire@soe.sony.com. Please include your Station name with your email. Refunds can only be issued before the close of registration. Once registration is closed we must guarantee the number of attendees with the venue hosting the event. After August 1st, there will be no changes to registrations, cancellations, or refunds.

I am a guide. Do I register under my guide name or my player name?
Register as your play-character and then register for the guide dinner as your guide character, per the Guide Boards.

Can I wear a costume to Fan Faire?
Of course you can wear a costume! In fact, we encourage it. Unfortunately, the hotel does not allow weapons (steel, wood, or any other simulated weapon that may pose a danger to yourself or someone else) in any public area. If you are found with a dangerous weapon in your possession in a public area, you will be asked to return the item to your room immediately.
